I was able to reproduce the crash this way! And I guess I know what the reason is...

Could you please try enabling the "Show overlay icons, e. g. for links" option in the new profile before setting up the custom column set? Does TC crashes again with this option enabled?

That's it! :D
It doesn't crash if I activate "Show overlay icons" in the default configuration.

In my usual configuration I have "No icons", and with this setting it crashes regardless of the "overlay icons" setting.
Do I really need to display these stupid icons? :?

SVNDetails relies on the TortoiseSVN status cache (TSVNCache.exe), which seems to behave quite different on Windows 8.

I have tried to reproduce the issue on my Windows 7 Enterprise but without success (i. e. no crash regardless of the setting).

As we now have some Windows 8 development maschines available, I'll try debugging the plugin next week...

Meanwhile you can use the "stupid icons" as a workaround

Many thanks! I'll try how it feels with so much color in my beloved TC (blue as God wants it to be)... 8)
Basically, I use SVNDetails just because I want to avoid the "stupid icons" but I still want to see which files are modified (or conflicted). As a bonus I like to sort by the SVN status column which is something I cannot do for overlay icons.

The issue does not occur anymore if I add a call to "apr_initialize()" in "ContentSetDefaultParams()", but there's one drawback if status icons are not used: TSVNCache.exe is not started automatically anymore as this is handled internally by the shell icon interface...

If you're interested in a beta test, please send me your E-Mail address (via "pm" or "email" button).

Can the plugin be used with TSVN 1.80?
TC plugins: Autodesk 3ds Max Preview, Autodesk Revit Preview, FileInDir, ImageMetaData (JPG Comment/EXIF/IPTC/XMP), MATLAB MAT-file Viewer, SolidWorks Preview and more

The current version 3.10 should be compatible with TSVN 1.9.3 as well.
Have you installed the correct Visual Studio 2015 Redistributable Components (i. e. VC_redist_x64.exe / VC_redist_x86.exe)?

Yep. It works with TSVN 1.9.1 or 1.9.2 ( I don't remember which version I had before )

I've installed latest TC UP 7.0 with x64 support, then install svndetails ( for x64 ) and works. So problem is with x86.

When installing plugin under TC x86 I have message that some dependences are missing. DepWalker show me 2 strange files:

LIBAPR_TSVN32.DLL
LIBAPRUTIL_TSVN32.DLL

so I assume that those files was removed from TSVN in 1.9.3
