Hi!

The user-defined columns with opera_cache fields are empty here (like Mikefield described before). In Opera's cache directory there is the dcache4.url file and below are the subdirectories with the .tmp files.

How does the opera_cache plugin search for the dcache4.url file? Could it be that the plugin isn't compatible to Opera 10.53? Or are there possibly any problems with systems of other languages (here: German)?

For additional background info, here's the excerpt from wincmd.ini containing the definition for the CustomFields:

Code: Select all

[CustomFields]
AutoLoad=0
Widths1=80,30,80,80
Headers1=Dateiname\nMIME-Typ
Contents1=[=opera_cache.Remote File Name]\n[=opera_cache.MIME]
Options1=-1|0
Titles=Opera
Thanks for any hints.

You're right, currently plugin isn't compatible with Opera 10, let's wait for next release.

More correctly, Opera 10.50 and higher is unsupported. With 10.10 the plugin works fine.

Unfortunately, in 10.5x the cache format changed drastically and the WDX plugin became impossible. It needs complete rewriting, probably as WFX or WCX plugin instead of WDX, because contents of some files is now embedded directly into dcache4.url, other files has modified contents and cannot be used as they are. WDX plugin is a very bad concept for dealing with such files. You can obtain information about them (with some restrictions), but cannot copy the files themselves.

Ok, thanks to both of you for the information anyway (and for the quick answers!).

At the first sight, the opera:cache function seems to give some kind of overview of the contained files. I take a more thorough look into this one. Maybe there are also some other tools to browse Opera's cache. Let's see...

In 10.5x Opera cache changed. Not it can be browsed, filtered and previewed inside the opera itself in a very convenient and easy way, so the need of external tools for that slowly becomes obsolete.

64-bit version added. New Opera versions are unsupported, but there are still many users who use older releases, so I decided to publish the update.
