Hello,
i edit my message because i solved my problem myself :-)
I had a problem with em_ commands, because i forgot to copy and rename the .ini file...
Because i don't want my message to be completely unusefull, i inform you that i am translating your menu in french :-)

Windows 8 versions of the TC 8.01 menus are now available for download (links in first post).

There are made some minor changes to the other versions (Windows 7 and Windows XP).

New for 8.50?

Post by *ElQuia »

Hi Petermad, just a question: will you have new menus for TC 8.50? If so, when do you estimate the ETA?
THANKS :D

Yes, I have made them, and I have also made a version for Windows 8.1. - so there will be versions for Windows XP (32bit), Windows 7 (32 and 64bit), Windows 8 (32 and 64bit) and Windows 8.1 (32 and 64bit).

I plan to release them when Ghisler hopefully soon have uploaded a new compilation of the non-html wincmd.hlp help file, which I usually bundle with the menus.

So hopefully within a week or so.

New:
  • Updated with new internal TC 8.50 commands.
  • Added menu items for making Junctions, Symlinks and Hardlinks under the item "Misc." (not in the Windows XP versions)
  • Several minor corrections.

Nyt:

See first post on how to use the menus when 32bit and 64bit TC are sharing the same installation folder and the same wincmd.ini.

petermad, should I remove previous 8.01 menus?, if so, how to remove? could you please indicate how to remove previous versions (if necesary).

I have TC 32 bit and 64 bit installed on my Win7 x64 main machine. there are a lot of x86 plugins not available yet for x64.
I have a portable x86 version that I use on a usb drive for work on clients machines, those may include x64 or x86, mostly win7 , some XP and in new notebooks win 8.
To date I have 8.01 menus installed in 3 "TC installs": personal x86 and x64, work x86 on usb, I need to know if it is needed to remove these old versions and how to proceed.

THANKSSSS :D

The 8.50 menus will simply overwrite the 8,01 menus under Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8.

The menus for Windows 8.1 are new, so if anybody has used TC 8.01 menus with Windows 8.1 they can delete the old ones, but you don't have to.
But it makes the list in the Language dialog shorter if you delete all the wcmd_win8amd64*.* or wcmd_win8x86*.* language files and only keep the new wcmd_win81amd64*.* or wcmd_win81x86*.* files

Ahh, before I forget it again:

Thank you very much, Peter, for that wonderful extended menu!

Something like that should be come with each TC download.
I don't know how often I had dropped TC on my first years, thinking: "there is not much this tool can do; look at that small menu"

Now with your menu we have all possible commands and more at our fingertips.

Good work! Thanks. Danke. Tak. :D

Thanks - it affected tc850_win7amd64_eng.zip, tc850_win7x86_eng.zip and tc850_win7_eng.zip

I have made a silent update - please redownload.

There is string HELP_BREAK in files *.mnu which prevent display rest of menu items. This is bug or I miss something?
It's impossible to lead us astray for we don't care even to choose the way.

The menu entries, written behind the "HELP_BREAK" line, are displayed at the right side of the TC window.

There at the right you should see a "Help" and a "Right" menu item?

All works fine. Thank you, you are right. My fault. Big monitor and high resolution :).
