I will also appreciate to have the password saved for the WebDAV connections like for the FTP connections in TC. 8)

Thanks for the plugin.
Best regards.

Thanks for the plugin.
Best regards.
I have no news from Christian Ghisler about adding an option like in FTP :?

Note that with Windows Explorer, the use of a document WEB (with a WEBDAV server), asks to retain the password and it works well.

Best Regards Again.

Webdav-Plugin doesn't support autoinstallation feature (downloaded from http://ghisler.fileburst.com/fsplugins/webdav.zip ). Plz, could you add a proper pluginst.inf. Thanx. :D :P

I have created a new version of my WebDAV plugin which you can test now:

http://ghisler.fileburst.com/beta/davplug.zip

I have implemented basic authentication with user name/password to a Web proxy now. The proxy itself needs to be set in Internet Explorer's configuration dialog. I have successfully tested this with a local Web proxy, but it would be nice if some other people could test it too!

Also Sven Ritter (author of Speed Commander) has added saving of passwords when using my sources (with my permission), and has made this addition available to us too. You have to edit the connection with Alt+Enter to save the password. Please note that storing the password is a SECURITY RISK if your computer can be accessed by other people.

Thank Christian, the PW options works :P

but nothing shows that a PW was saved. :(

If we stops TC, at next start, we receive the message Error: 401 Authorization Required at connection.
We have to do the connection again giving the PW. :?

About FileSync tool with WebDAV, the checkbox invalidated to do a replacement has no effect. We have to reply to a question about replacement.

Best Regards. Menet.

The password is only saved when you edit the connection with Alt+Enter, or via "Properties" of its context menu! This is intentional, so you can enter the password manually if you don't want to store it.

I have created a new version of my WebDAV plugin which you can test now:

http://ghisler.fileburst.com/beta/davplug.zip

What's new? When the password has been saved via Alt+Enter, the plugin will not show the connect dialog when connecting to a server. Instead, it will connect directly. To change the connection settings, you will need to press Alt+Enter on the connection.

Has anyone tested the new proxy user name and password support yet? I'm getting mixed results - it seems to work for some users, but not for others. For those where it doesn't work, the proxy seems to ignore the user name/password and still reply with "proxy-authentication required" errors...

I have created a new version of my WebDAV plugin which you can test now:

It now also supports 1 step uploading for those servers where two step doesn't work for some reason. I have also improved the proxy support. Please test!

For my litle job with a WEBDAV access, your plugin 1.1 was alredy good. :P
I have installed this new version 1.2, and i have no problem but i just use it for one old connection.
I have seen that you have added several others functions in the ReadMe.txt file :
20050928 Added: User can now disable the multi-step upload method. Note that the entire file may be sent TWICE to the same server then!
20050923 Added: User can now manually define a different proxy than in Internet Explorer
20050923 Fixed: Send proxy user+password also manually to avoid problems with unencrypted connections
20050922 Fixed: Proxy user name and password not always working with SSL connections
Best regards. Menet.

Anyone knows if there is a way to create links to files on a webdav server?

No you can't, links (.lnk) are part of Windows. It _may_ work with the WebDAV access of Windows, but this cannot show file details in TC.
