The WebDAV plugin ignores the "Confirm overwrites" settings in the synchronication dialog.

I want to use the WebDAV plugin to connect to a Livelink system. As other users reported this works fine.
Livelink features "WebDAV URLs" and "WebDAV short URLs". Has anyone an idea how to change to these locations with the WebDAV plugin?

EDIT:
I found the solution. You have to enter the part of the WebDAV URLs which wasn't set in the server definition as root. Example:

Root set in connection:
http://livelink.mydomain.de/livelink/

Example dir to change to short WebDAV URL:
cd \\\WebDAV\My Livelink connection\nodes\12345

Of course you don't need to connect first and then apply the dir you can just make the dir change from a local dir. You'll be prompted for the password and you'l be right in the livelink dir - oh yes :D

I am very happy about the webdav plugin and am using it with gmx - problem is I have permission from a friend of mine - shows up on the web as external folder - but will not show up in TC - why??

What do you mean with "you have permission"? If you have a user name and password for a friend's site, you need to create a new connection with these connection settings in order to access it.

Oh I see - I don't have that information - he gave me a "permanent Freigabe" and I could Include "einbinden" in my mediacenter - but in TC its not showing up

You have to use the WebDAV plugin in the "Network Neighborhood", it's completely separate from Explorer's method to access WebDAV drives.

I know - it works - as I said perfect - with my own folders, but as I said my friend has uploaded some files on his space and gave me "freigabe" GMX asked my to include "einbinden" his permssion into my media center and now I have all my folders + one more that says "Externe Ordner" and there his folder.

Webdav doesn't find them

2Christian:
1st
i would wish me to that there would be an option to save the pw (even if its plaintext cause im working a lot with webdav)

2nd
warum erstellt dieses PlugIn seine eigene tcwebdav.ini und benutzt nicht die (dafür ja eigentlich von dir gedachte Fsplugin.ini? :-))

except from that - great as everything!
Hoecker sie sind raus!

Hmm, maybe external folders are not visible in the WebDAV file system on GMX, but only on their Web page.

2Sir_SiLvA
Because it creates several subsections for the various connections, which would disturb other plugins.

Yep that could be the problem - although it would be really nice to get them visible (:--))

Hi,

my photo service Smugmug just introduced a WebDAV-interface. It's still in testing phase and read only so far.
It works with the Explorer, but not with the TC plugin.

I can view the root directory which includes all my categories, but when I enter a category-directory, I just get a list with an unamed folder "[]"

Here's my log file (I just removed the cookie):

Code: Select all

CONNECT \Smugmug
Get dir: /smugdav.mg
PROPFIND /smugdav.mg/ HTTP/1.1

Content-Type: text/xml; charset="utf-8"

Content-Length: 0

What could be wrong? Could there be a server problem? If yes, what should I tell the smugmug guys?

Thanks for your help and the great plugin (much faster than the Explorer, as usual),

Sounds like the server is returning the files in the subdir in a form not understandable by my plugin. Please contact me by e-mail if you can provide me with a test account.
