Yes, until the Guest account is enabled or a new account with guest privileges is created... Who remembers an NTFS permissions change when activating the Guest account, and even if somebody remembers that, the implications are not immediately clear unless that someone can connect these two things. Giving "Everybody" full control is unnecessary and an unneeded risk for data leaks and security holes. And it makes other people recommend the same thing "because it works". Write access for the user itself (or some defined group like "Users") is enough.

PS: There are enough companies out there that make the same mistake by setting up their software with full control to "Everbody" or recommend to do such things. At the same time, they complain about "stolen" data and network breaches which were "infiltrated" via publicly available Samba shares. It's just insane!

After the dialog box is correctly filled, nothing happens.
The new connections does not show, but neither any error (BTW, where should I find the log file? is the same one that we can activate under Options?)

Thanks for your support
Solved with Ghisler advice.
My tccloud.in was corrupted. A restarted from an empty one (in the wincmd.in dir) and everything was perfect.
Thanks

You can just delete the bad sections from the ini: All those with empty brackets [] or nonsense inside the brackets [&%ç] can be deleted.

Concerning Google Drive with shortcuts (links): I've googled a bit (the irony!), and found this report in the rclone's GitHub:
https://github.com/rclone/rclone/issues/4098
During the discussion, it was mentioned that the SDK received an update and now supports the links:
https://github.com/googleapis/google-api-go-client/issues/464
So rclone was updated, and I've downloaded and tested it. The linked files and folders were downloaded fine. It would be very nice to have support for them in the TC plugin too.

Thanks for the info. Can you tell me how to create such shortcuts for test purposes?

When I open my GDrive in a browser, and right-click any file or folder, in the context menu there is a command "Add shortcut to drive". Select it, then it will ask for the destination folder where to create the shortcut. Unfortunately, I don't know how it looks in the desktop application, I've never used it, but I doubt it's that much different there.

Thanks, I will create a link this way and check whether I can see it in the listing, or need to update the API (which is always a major pain).

Hi.

I'm testing TC v. 9.51 with the clould plugin. Have testet it a bit and so far the best cloud-drive handler I have found! :)

However.. I have a Google account with multible team-drives connected - and normally TC has been loading those just fine.
But lately it has come to that when I approve the access from rclone to the drive and want to change folder to the "shared drives"
TC just crashes - no warning, nothing - the program just shut itself down.
can't seem to find any log that might show why this is happening - any ideas?

I need some kind of stack trace. Could you use the tool Procdump to create
one for me, please:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/dd996900.aspx

1. Create new directory c:\dumps
2. Create a lnk file of procdump.exe or procdump64.exe (for 64-bit Windows)
with Ctrl+Shift+F5, e.g. procdump.lnk
3. Open the properties the lnk file with Alt+Enter
4. Change the command from c:\path\procdump.exe to
c:\path\procdump.exe -ma -i c:\dumps
5. Important: Click on "Advanced" and check option "As administrator"
6. Run procdump with this link file
7. Wait until the crash occurs.
8. Send me the dump from c:\dumps.

Please put them zipped on a cloud service like Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive, then send me a shared link to support at ghisler dot com.

Which user name did you use as sender? There are no open e-mails, so either I replied and you didn't receive my reply, or I didn't receive yours.
