mmedia.wlx ver 1.65

Post by *fg_2002fr »

I have released ver 1.65 of my plugin

- considerably reduce size of plugin
- correct a bug for files without extension
- read CDA files (CD audio)
- add option to autosave windows position and size (see "mmedia.ini")
- test if plugin is called for QuickView or for external lister to apply autosave
- player size follow Lister's windows changes of size

Thanks to report bug, or just to say what you think of this plugin

Size: 18 KB
You can download it here:

mmedia.ini located in mmedia.wlx directory
I agree. It is much easier to look at one place for the latest version/configuration and makes it possible to backup all components by a single shot.

I'd also like all INI's to be in plugin's dir.

But for me it doesn't work at all. Neither under NT4, nor under 2000. Standard MCI control is loaded. :(

I will change the path of "mmedia.ini" in the next version but it is needed only if you change default values

to valentino
which version are you using ?
normally, if WMP is not found, an error message is displayed and MCI is used
in all case for MP3 file the id3 tag are displayed.

V.1.65.
I discovered the problem. I must switch "Load bitmaps as graphics at start up" option ON for your plugin to be activated. But I don't like this :(. I don't know, maybe it's TC bug or yours.
With this option ON, your plugin does displays the message that "WMP 9.0 is not installed, using MCI". I have WMP 6.4. Is it too old?
BTW, on this message I see two buttons (OK and Cancel), but there seems to be no difference - I see tags and MCI control playing file.

programmation of WMP component change for each version with bad backwad compatibility.
I began to program this plugin with WMP64 but I wanted an engine capable to read MP3pro files and I like the visualization module of WMP9.
This plugin is normally compatible with WMP from ver 7 (not tested) until ver 9 but best results are obtained with WMP9
