i'm feeling that the data file "tc default hotkeys.hky" has some errors and it is not complete
i need your help
the following list are some Total Commander default hotkeys
my question is: Are there any internal commads for these hotkeys?
i searched for these internal commads but faild to find

ALT+F3 Use alternate (external or internal) viewer
ALT+SHIFT+F3 Start Lister and load file with internal viewer
Alt + Shift + F5 pack file & delete it
ALT+F8 Opens the history list of the command line
SHIFT+F3 List only file under cursor, when multiple files selected
SHIFT+F4 Create new text file and load into editor
ALT+left Go to previous/next dir of already visited dirs
TAB Switch between left and right file list
INSERT Select file or directory.
SPACE Select file or directory (as INSERT).
SHIFT+ENTER

See in the Tutorial…

:) Hello !
- All internal commands are listed and classified by functions in the section 4.bInternal commands…” of the English Tutorial; you can then easily look for equivalent shortcuts in the section 3.aKeyboard shortcuts”.
- I plan to add the corresponding shortcut for each command which has one, but isn't done yet (the update for the 6.5x versions needed a big work already…)
- Link in my signature below 8)

 Kind regards,
Claude

:) Indeed, some commands don't exist (yet).
- But in those you quote, you can find i.e. cm_focusleft / cm_focusright doing the same than the TAB-key
In the “Miscellaneous” section of the topic.

Sorry Clo but I have to disagree with you
TAB is not the ShortCut for cm_focusleft/right
as TAB allways changes the focus to the not
focused panel while the commands set the focus
on specific pannel.

I doubt that there are any Internalcommands for these shortcuts (yet) otherwise I think Chris would have answered yesterday

Workaround

Post by *Clo »

2Sir_SiLvA
Hi !
- It's just a workaround to replace TAB, since if you use the wrong command (i.e. having two buttons in a bar) nothing occurs, so you'll have to use the other…
- I mean i.e. : If you use cm_focusleft while the focus is already on left-panel… Indeed, a specific single bistable command should be better.
- Yes, the commands that ts4242 wishes are missing; but we are there to express requests, are we not ? :D

Danish translation

Post by *petermad »

2All
My Danish translation of Ultra TC Editors can now be downloaded at: http://madsenworld.dk/tcmd/ultratc_danish.zip . I might translate the .cedf files at a later point.

May I point your attention on a little bug:

When I open the Options -> Change Font dialog box, then the Size of the current font is not shown - so one has to guess what font Size is actually being used. The field with the font Sample is not filled out either.

Im I right that the Ultra Editors wich I liked till now become some
sort of Shareware?
(oh yeah its called donationware inside the prgs but its the same
as you get a nag-screen that you have click on with the mouse
or pressing tab at least one time...)
If not than why is this Nagscreen needed?

this 'reminder' window needed to remind the user who use my programs regularly there is someone spent a lot of time coding and debugging to make his life easier and he wait for his support.

this 'reminder' window popup each 12 runs (for each editor individual) or less depend on the period between each run.

there are many of donateware programs start with a window asking the user to support that program with an option like "Don't show this dialog at start up" (i did so at the previous version) but because i know all users used to check this option and forget every thing about donation so i create this reminder window!

since i started asking users for their donation until now (24 June, 2005) i didn't recieve anything except from only one user "Sheepdog" he is the only one who appreciate my work practically. if this is not the truth i wouldn't say that in such public forum.

i don't ask so much only 5$/Euro (0.8$/Euro per a program), someone can buy a computer magazine that will cost him more than these 5$/Euro and after week or less he will throw it, while he using my programs regularly to do tedious tasks and (impossible tasks) as easy as 1-2-3, i saved a lot of users time (time is money) So I deserve some of these money, too ;)

I said "Ultra TC Editors is freeware and will stay freeware" and this is true, I can live without users donation, but i want at least gain some of the money that i spent in developing these editors

so please be patient otherwise you know how to get rid of this 'reminder' window

Sorry but after that statement
ts4242 wrote:"Ultra TC Editors is freeware and will stay freeware"
is completly untrue, cause
a) you wait for his support
or
b) I can live without users donation
But you cant claim both as you are doing here.... :)

See? this is shareware - This nag will only go away after paying for it = Shareware :-)

All Im talking bout is that your words are a bit controversy :-)
(I dont say anything against your good work)
But It would be nice if this nagscreens are a "must" that one should be able to press 1, 2 or 3 without using tab or the mouse
(like its done in tc)

Oh and please when will the dropdown-window in the start- and directory-editor become a true dropdown-component?
As my english is not the best - here you find an example of what i mean:
http://www.qfile.de/dl/47361/example.exe.html
a) is your dropdown
b) is the dropdown as I would find it much nicer :-)
