Your pluginst.inf looks good. This cannot be the problem.
I just tried the manual installation, which succeeded, but when i try to use the plugin in the search dialog i get a

External exception C000001D.
That sounds very strange! Can you give me some information please.
If the file ShellDetails has been created (in the subdirectory ShellDetails in your Wincmd.ini directory)
your operating system version and language
Thank you!

Sorry, i have to correct me :-( , the manual installation doesn't work (same exception). The installation via Plugin Manager (doubleclick on wdx file, do you want to install the plugin etc. etc....) works. But after a restart of the TC the plugin isn't usable.

To make it clear here are the dependencies of ShellDetails.wdx 1.05
Kernel32.dll
Ole32.dll
Oleaut32.dll
Rpcrt4.dll
Shell32.dll

Everything else is loaded at runtime.

- I need this information:
If the file ShellDetails has been created (in the subdirectory ShellDetails in your Wincmd.ini directory)
- your operating system version and language
Thank you!

The ShellDetails.wdx was created (and the readme.htm and liesmich.htm also).
The directory is in %COMMANDER_PATH%\plugins\wdx\
as ShellDetails.
In the wincmd.ini directory (%COMMANDER_PATH%) is no ShellDetails directory, but i think you mean the plugin\wdx dir.

I'm running on Windows XP SP2 english.

Thank you for the screenshot!
There are a lot of columns
37 columns - that's not very much ( I have about 60 in Shelldetails :D ) . It seems you don't have installed any ShellExtension.
The only idea I have at the moment is that SP2 causes some trouble.

Yes I already sent an email to you. But I need a reply to know where to send the file.

Error loading plugin file!
The plugin probably needs some DLLs missing on your system!

Same here.

If you have any problems with my plugin please always provide the following information:
- Operating system version
- Operating system language
- Problem (Installing/Adding fields/Displaying fields)
- Error messages
- Content of ShellDetails.ini file (if created)
- Which columns are displayed by Explorer?

Thank you!

As you wish

As you wish:

- Windows XP Pro SP2 5.1.2600
- English (probably international, not US)
- Configuration->Plugins->Content Plugins->Configure->Add ShellDetails.wdx
- It says "Error loading plug-in file ... Probably some Missing DLL".
- N/A
- Lot, cca 800, I use my own extension called Dalifer

I can't get the CVS columns to work. The plugin itself installed without problems, and if I configure the displayed columns I can select several columns from within the shelldetails submenu, but there are no CVS columns in there.

Do I have to modify ShellDetails.ini in order to get the CVS columns? How would the definitions for those columns look like?

Thanks
Thomas
