"POP3/SMTP EmailPlugin" Question

Post by *pertheli »

Can "POP3/SMTP EmailPlugin" check "[face=courier]Hotmail[/face]", "[face=courier]Yahoo[/face]" accounts too?

Or some other software is required as well in between?

Thanks

Unfortunatily not because Hotmail uses its own protocol...
You need to use HotPopper:

http://www.boolean.ca/hotpop

If you want to access your Yahoo! Mail account then you either have subscribe the POP3 service or use Web2POP:

http://www.jmasoftware.com/english/index.html
Browse the web with the HTTP SmartBrowserPlugin
Check your mails with the POP3/SMTP EmailPlugin!

@André Martin

thanks for the tip with hotpop,it works unless i enter something under smtp-connections,but deleting files from Hotmail-account does not work:-(
Yahoo works well after subscription,also 11880.com ,lycos.de,web.de

You might also want to try Web2Pop and Pop3Hot.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

1.) Strange - it should work without any SMTP settings. SMTP is only required when you try upload (send) mails.
2.) Maybe hotpopper does not correctly understand the DELE command?!? It works well with ordinary POP3 servers...
