I think that TCtoolbar (or even TCMenu) is an excellent alternative
Thanks, I also think so!
when you're using TCtoolbar with TC internals command, this is applied to the focused window but not if you use a "cd" command : then directory is allways open in the left windows even the right one is selected.
Yes, it is restriction of old TC 5.51 interface - in readme this command especially noted. Probably it is possible to add such feature for the new version but this version will be incompatible with TC 6.0 and prior. Well, I'll check it.
Main features are:
- colored, flat, multicolumn menu.
- em_ commands.
- any size icons.
- Using TC cashe to speed up menu creation
- Extended "cd" command support.
This beta version contains experimental features (like using TC cashe)
that could be excluded in the future.

Nope, link is correct. Currently about 20 downloads completed successfully.
But I see some problem for users of Belgacom ISP. Are you work via Belgacom?

The important thing is not to convince, but to incite to think.

• I'm not a Belgacom user (my ISP is Orange-France) and I can't download the ZIP, neither directly from the link here via Maxthon and my usual download manager, nor from TC as New Connection (I get an empty remote directory).

It looks like tcmenu doesn't resolve the environment variable Commander_Path in the command definition of a nested bar.
If I replace the variable with the full path it works.
This prevents menus to run on different computers.
I'm sorry, but I really don't understant what it the problem here. Now 50% downloads finished with faulure. May be hurrican in Europe?
