[request] make colors in comparetool adjustable

Post by *Samuel »

I think it would be nice, to have the colors in the internal compare tool adjustable, or to make it simple, just use the same colors like the lister.

I don't mean the color of the differences, I know that I could adjust them. But I don't like the current invert style.

Here 2 explaining images.

Doesn't TC use the Windows settings for "marked elements"?

Exactly, I was just about to say that. :)

So as a workaround you can specify a brighter color for "marked elements" in disply properties.

What is the Windows color behind the red text color?

Hm maybe you missed that this color is set in TC, so no system color used here, in contrary to the selection:

options -> color -> other: Text differences

I doesn't make sense to make some colors user-definable but not all.

Well, I didn't implement it that way

I would appreciate enhancements in TC's color configuration too. I think we both remember well the alpha discussions about the 'inactive cursor' and 'inverted cursor and inverted selection'.

So I hope ghisler will reconsider improvements here, at least for versions >7.
