TC 5.51 and Mmedia plugin crash

Post by *rolandd »

Hello all,

When I play an MP3 file with F3 it opens the Lister window and plays the song no problem :)

The problem comes when the song is playing, I switch to another user, Windows XP, the song keeps playing. That is all great but when I switch back to the username which started the song, TC "crashed". :?

It did not really crash but CPU usage is up to 99%. Further investigation learned that this does not happen if the mmedia plugin is not installed. I.e. with the standard lister the same action will not result in TC going up to 99%.

Any idea how to solve this? Or what is happening? :P

Cheers,

Botak

Unfortunately I don't have the source of that plugin, so I cannot say what the problem is. Maybe the author of the plugin could test this?

Hi Botak

I use WinXP and I tried to reproduce your problem in the same condition as you but I didn't succeed. ( but I'm using WMP9.0 )
