Unpacking rars with subdirs to non-existing dirs

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Unpacking rars with subdirs to non-existing dirs

Post by *bugmenot »

Using TC7b3, and WinRAR 3.62, when I use the Unpack function, it kindly asks for a folder to put the unpacked files into. Works fine, if the .rar(s) in question A) do not have subdirectories in them, and/or B) if the destination folder exists.

However, if A and B are both true, there is a problem that I can repeat over and over. So, when we have a rar (or set thereof) with directories, AND I type in a destination dir that doesn't exist, the files are without any further dialogue, unpacked into the (default) directory that TC suggested in the first place.

Can anyone confirm this as a bug?
