Export regulations

Post by *Negyedi Vilmos »

Hi!

I have written an AES plugin and I'm looking for a site with no (crypto) export regulations. I will be happy if you can help me.

Unfortunately I cannot host it myself on fileburst, exactly because of export regulations. :(

Perhaps the author of the SFTP plugin can help you?

What do these export regulations mean exactly ?
What country's are allowed and what not ?

As I emailed you, I'm would be glad to host the plugins at the Club Total website.

I have an export licence for the EU and USA/Canada. For other countries, I would have to get an individual licence for each country. :(

Club Total is hosted in France, right? I think that they also have strong export regulations...

The following site is updated quite regularly and contains a comprehensive list of crypto regulations per country:

http://rechten.uvt.nl/koops/cryptolaw/

BTW as far as I understand letting individuals download a cryptographic module for free (and you not acting as a company) is allowed, though I haven't read every point (too boring).

Cheers.

In France, you can use crypting with keys until 128 bits.
