Re: Total Commander release date...
I feel TC 7 is more than ready for release today.
Mr Ghisler, please don't care too much about minor and obscure bugs, I would love to see you release TC7 soon !!
Wish to see you get cracking at the next enhancements in smaller and faster releases (its been unusual long beta and RC cycles, I guess). (again, all are my personal opinion!)

T.C. 7 final will be released as soon as Christian Ghisler is convinced all known bugs, minor or major, have been fixed.
Releasing T.C. 7 final knowing minor bugs have deliberately not been fixed, does not make much sense. It will only create the need for a quick first bugfix release.
I do not mind the suffix "rc3" of my T.C. 7 installation. It works reliably. This is what counts.

Search found no matches for: RC4 from ghisler(Author) until now.
Since there is a "TC7 Beta bug reports" forum it is easy to see for customers which things must be moved to "TC7 Fixed bugs / TC7 Behaviour which will not be changed" before the release of the final v7.
Smaller and faster releases would make these things more easier.

Close to ready, I think.
If you think RC3 already fits your needs - why not simply use it? I do the same (more and more) - the only way to find the last bugs, IMHO.
No more great new features will be added before release now, just fixes. I think it's worth the wait.
I always remembered WC/TC to be rock-solid at release state, so I can recommend its use to everybody without exception. I think it should stay this way.

Who the hell is General Failure, and why is he reading my disk?
