No, I don't think so.
First it's a rather long list of files I don't want to see and
Second I use the Custom View frequently for ohter purposes.
So it would be rather inconvenient to define the new Custom View adapting the ignore view.

[REQ] Option to copy ignored files

I like the way things work now. I mostly use ignore to hide .svn directory and I certainly don't want that copied around.
A checkbox doesn't seem to be a very good solution either (I'll always forget to click it). And what about synchronize dirs, should it also get a checkbox?
I think the best solution would be to have two lists: ignore list that would work as it does now and hide list that would just hide files.
Oh, and a hint: a button in the toolbar to turn ignore list on/off really helps.

- Ignore (for display only)
- Ignore (for all file operations) [including delete/copy/(un)pack/synchronize_dirs]
I think globally excluding files from file operations can be quite dangerous and should be used carefully. Wheras not displaying some files is at least less dangerous, IMHO.
Who the hell is General Failure, and why is he reading my disk?

In addition to this wish, I would like it if the "status" is displayed in the footer.

With this you can have a quick view if there is something to "worry" about.
like:
Code: Select all
......0/37 files 0/32 dirs 2 files ignored.
