2roentgen: Well as I said : Just an example, no offense against any individual.
I even know some families at Germany, which still have PCs that are not able to run XP, so they stick with 98 ...

I wonder:
does Christian ever made public some sell statistics (e.g. % per country)?

@roentgen:
Somebody more experienced at making polls should start one regarding the TC installer size.
You can see the effect of polls by looking at the "Should F2 become the default for renaming" from the year 2003 and this one has been started by the author... ;)

@sqa_wizard:
Don't underestimate the number of Win9x users.
Well, don't overestimate them. Furthermore I was talking of Windows 95! The CHM format has been invented with Windows 98.
The fact that you are using a "state of the art" PC does not mean the rest of the world is able to pay for it too !
You can buy PII mainboards for 1 Euro at ebay, including processor and sometimes RAM and such boxes run XP and CHM files perfectly.

Yes, you need to pay another 1 Euro.
It doubles the cost!

Or save the 1 Euro and download a copy or let some rich dude with internet connection create a copy for you.

This is the reality we are talking about:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/02/02/romania_microsoft_piracy/

Worrying about "poor" users not being able to afford hardware and a decent OS is nothing but a bad excuse.

Windows 95 is dead. The only relevant operating system of the old WinDOS line developers should worry about – if they haven't chosen to drop it completely – is Windows 98 SE. It's a nice OS that has every right to be still used even in 2007, even if only for playing some old games.
