[REQ] File Filters remembered by Folder Tab

Post by *Yuta »

I'd like File Filters to be remembered by Folder Tab .

Let's say you are filtering files with "Show Custom (CTRL+F12)", when you change of tab, normally the filter makes sense nomore.
Suppose you are working on something, have to do a 1 minute job on other tab, and then get back to your original job. You should take out momentarily the filter to do it.

It's more natural to think of File Filters as a per Folder Tab basis.

Christian, do you have any plans on implementing this?.

Made I myself clear or is the explanation unclear?

I also think it would be a good addition.

TC has trouble remembering the previous dir per tab basis. Filters per tab feature should come by itself after that is achieved.
TC for Linux please!

We are not to set priorities here. Both options will have some users, but not everybody will appreciate them.

Take into account that saving the history of dir changes per folder sure will take a lot more resources than remembering the filters for only some tabs.

No, it will not make a significant difference, max c.a. 260 bytes / tab / entry.

Show, Custom file types per locked tab

Post by *skynergy »

I just to find out if this feature have been considered? I recently discovered how great it is to use the locked tab feature for certain folders relating back to projects I am working on. Some of the folders have certain file types and I would really love it if you could filter on specific locked tabs. Most folders will be *.* but for a few locked tabs I would like to have custom file filters. If this could be implemented it would be greatly appreciated.

Agreed! The TC functionality will be even better. Imagine if I can with right click on the tab set which filter is should use! I hope this can be accomplished.
