file icon does not change instantly if "open with" changed in windows to another program and "open always with this program" checked.

confirmed. also didn't work in version 6.

And will not work further, because refreshing all the icons for every of 1000 registered file types is a huge task that would slow down TC enormously. TC instead reads and caches these icons once. So, to refresh them, you need to either restart TC, or open its own dialog for customizing the associations, go to the icon selection dialog and press OK without changing anything.
