copying files from one remote directory to another with ftp

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

copying files from one remote directory to another with ftp

Post by *HPie »

1. open in left panel connection to server/directory X
2. open in right panel connection to server/directory Y
3. copy directory/file from directory X to directory Y: connection is accepted, directory is created and file is opened in target directory, but nothing else happens...

What does the FTP log say?

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Most ftp servers these days do not allow the FxP server to server transfers any more, probably because they were abused. Therefore you have to enable FxP in the configuration of BOTH servers.
