With a fresh ini : no more ACCES VIOLATION :D

The bad ini contains 2 sections [Options] :!: Why :?:

:) Hello Paul !

• YEP ! I tested again today, and checked the INI (the same, not a new one) :

1. The access violation doesn't occur anymore,
2. There is a single Options section, as expected.
- However, I never changed the INI since the same misadvanture (see above…) you discovered in my INI already.
- I seems that sometimes the programme adds a “parasitical” second Options section
when updating (by hand from the ZIP here).

Also RegEx library will return to Free version.
The reason is It doesn't give additional licenses.

there is a problem with PEViewer plugin

plugin is registered this way:

Code: Select all

18=D:\!progs\totalcmd\wlx\PE Viewer  1_11a\PEViewer.wlx
18_detect="[0]="M" & [1]="Z""
via Lister, PEViewer tries to open only executable files
via ATViewer, PEViewer tries to open ALL files regardless of content

how to solve this problem?

Now by trying to list all extensions in detect-string.
UV doesn't support handling of "[0]", "[1]", etc... this is written in help.

:( bad news. Without content-detection PEViewer (as well some other plugins) is almost useless for me.

So when UV will support signatures?

Tests of icons…

Post by *Clo »

 Alextp

:) Hello Alexeï !

• Didn't you get the test tool-bar as 32² I sent you some days ago ? Just FYI :
Paul tested it with his 16"×12" monitor set as “Landscape”, 1600×1200 px.
- Forty (40) icons can be displayed as the normal tool-bar without wrapping. :D

• In order to complete the French Help, we tested also icons drew as an odd (uneven) count of pixels
(29² - Just a dozen, the bar drawing is not finished).
- Since the two W×H dimensions are stated when choosing a bitmap, we attempted the use of rectangular icons
“portrait-shaped” (just enlarging the canvas with the same 29² motives), but there is a hitch…:|

- You can see the two cases on THAT IMAGE.
- The programme ignores the real width, and uses always the largest dimension as the side of a (supposed for it) square icon.
- Hence, indeed the buttons can't be built correctly.
- To compare, you can see an example of rectangular buttons coming from a similar bitmap in «XnView».
- I ought admit that the motives are not displayed perfectly, but the size and the buttons are right, that's usable…

• BTW :  The 29² bar is on the workbench, I draw some icons each day, that's long, of course…

:) Hello Alexeï !

• Thank you very much ! We'll test that @ night !
file must be named with "Name WxH ...", low "x"
• Do you mean "x" lowercase ? In fact, the right mutiplication symbol is “×” (ANSI #215)…
