"Search results" don't resize in "Find files&

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

"Search results" don't resize in "Find files&

Post by *polet82 »

Launch Total Commander
Hit Alt-F7 to get to "Find files" dialog
Maximize the dialog's window
Close it
Hit Alt-F7 one more time

you'll see that "Search results" field, does not scale to the whole window.

Thanks, hope it was useful.

Sorry, can't see any wrong behavior.

On startup, there are no search results at all.
No need to display more ...
So this is by design, just to show you: no search has been performed yet.

After doing a search (and nothing found) an empty "Search results" field is displayed, just to show you: search has been performed without results.

You see the difference ?

I think polet82 mean that, when closing Search dialog maxmized then re-open it, it will seems as it is maxmized but it is not (you can drag it), in addition to that, after drag it to the middle of screen then press Start search button, the dialog will become truly maxmized and you cannot drag it!

Actually it IS maximized, it will resize to the non-maximized size when you click on the restore button. It's strange but Windows apparently allows to more the maximized window when it doesn't take the entire screen...
