Hi, Christian,
My son has an FTP site, which I also use. I have my password built-in for years so I have no problem, but he forgot it. On my ftp-connect site it shows 8 asterisks. I checked the wcx_ftp file where the password is shown as a 24 character alphanumeric. I am sure, that was not the original password. Is there a way to convert the 24 digits to a regular password which I use, or can I use the 24 digit password on his Totalcommander.
Thanks for the help
Peter

the easiest way is to use program that can reveal asterisk passwords such as Asterisk Logger (nirsoft)
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/astlog.html
or use passwords decrypting tool to decrypt all encrypted ftp passwords stored in tc config file
