Problem with Lister

Post by *MeTAlMollY »

Every first time I press the F3 button when I want to view a file using lister, I get an runtime error. :?

Access violation at address 00451F62. Read of address 00000008. Report the Author ..... Do you want to continue? Yes /No

It only happens when I start total commander for the first time. Usiung the lister gives the error. When I press the Yes button the lister is displayed but it is empty. Closing the lister and pressing F3 again with the selected file, doesn't give the error.

Restarting Total commander again and pressing F3, gives the error again.

Using win2k SP4 (and latest SP's).

Hi MeTAlMollY,

On which type of file?

Have you configure some parameter for the internal lister?
(Configuration => Edit/View => Configure internal Viewer...)

Did you try with an external viewer?

I had the same problem. But I've removed some plugins and now everything is allright. I think the problem is in one of the lister plugins.

Try to use JccView 2.5.x.x. Maybe it is free from this error...

I've removed all lister plugins and left only FlashView (v1.01) - no problems. But when I do the same with the JccView 2.4.1.0 - the error occurs.

No problems with new version, as it seems.

Plugin problems

Post by *MeTAlMollY »

Hello to you all,

First of all thanks for the replies. I have removed all my plugins, after I read some comments about plugin 'bugs'. Well this seems to fix the problem. I used to have the SynUs, Listplug, IEView and FlashView lister plugins. Removed them all 're-installed' IEView, and that did the job...

So thanks to all of you, specially Cristian for his great program :D

Greetings,
MeTAlMollY
