Some keys disabled after Compare By Content

Post by *aguirRe »

Just found another minor issue; after performing a Compare By Content operation that results in the dialog ""The two files are identical", some keys (like tab between the panes) in the main TC two-pane form are disabled until the CBC dialog is cleared.

Since some of the keys (e.g. function keys) still work, you can e.g. bring up the Lister window with F3, but you can't end it with Esc. The mouse still work, though.

The CBC modal dialog "The two files are identical" must be visible as well for the symptom to occur in the normal TC window form.

This is a known limitation which cannot be avoided: While a modal dialog is up, Windows itself will handle the message loop, so TC's own message loop cannot see some hotkeys like Tab.

Thanks for the info, was this limitation also in TC 5.51? I can't remember noticing it.
