Thanks for your report. I have some questions:
1. What were you doing when you got this error?
2. Did you display any tree in Total Commander?
3. If yes, what kind of tree? Separate or in main panel, normal with drive letters or fully expaned of just 1 drive?

In the left panel i was switching between full view and tree view (in main panel not separate).

When the left panel was active i typed in the command line editbox a command to change to a different directory (cd \\server\path\... etc) but the dialog box to open the path "as administrator" didn't show so i switched back to tree view.

OK, this should already be fixed in the soon to be released beta 5. Here is the info:
29.05.09 Fixed: Leaving old style fully expanded tree view could cause access violation in tree update thread

Please test it when beta 5 becomes available later today!

Hi,

In pb7 i got the tree update error again:

Fatal error in Tree update thread, aborting !

I opened total commander (right full and left tree) and switched the left panel immediately to full (maybe it was still busy drawing the tree ?) and at that moment i got the error.

The thread starter has written by e-mail that he didn't get the bug any more, so I'm moving this to "fixed bugs" for now.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
