How to extract .cab files ?
Is it possible or is there a plugin available for Total Commander Pocket to extract .cab files
(I don't want to install a software. I just want to extract the including files.)
Is these a difference between .cabs for Windows-PC and Windows-Mobile?
To be exactls:

No, there isn't such a function at this time, sorry. The CAB files are the same, although older Windows Mobile CABs have no compression.

I haven't tried any myself, but a Google search for
"cab unpacker" "windows mobile"
seems to give some suitable results.

Re: Extracting .cab files
The mobile application SKKV UnPacker will extract .cab files, among many other formats. I've used it with no problem, but can't remember where I downloaded it from, and the author's URL doesn't appear on the About screen, so you may want to search one of the freeware sites for it.

Thank you VERY much for this hint.gbusch wrote:The mobile application SKKV UnPacker will extract .cab files, among many other formats.
I found the "S-K's software" homepage using google.
This is the only sw I found that can do the job.
And its freeware!
Klaus.

So far I can see is "SkTOOLS" a system tool, but not good for file decompressing.siealex wrote:Also SkTOOLS and CabIntegr by SKKV Software. SkTOOLS can be associated with CAB files and work with them by clicking them in TC or Explorer.
I didnt test CabIntegr, because I am happy with UnPacker.
But thank you anyway for your help.

You can extract CAB (8.3 or original name), CPF and TSK files.
