Slow work with the Clipboard

Post by *Lite »

Version 7.5 works very slow with the Clipboard in Copy-Paste (Ctrl+C->Ctrl+V) and Cut-Paste (Ctrl+C->Ctrl+V) file operations. Version 7.5a also.

Cannot confirm - it's as fast (or slow) as before. Did you install any third party clipboard enhancement tool recently?

What Windows do you use?

Today I mentioned that TC under Windows 7 is slower to show the copied files (if the view gets refreshed correctly) than TC under Windows XP on the same computer.

I use the PowerPack Pack from SamLab. WinXP PreSP3 x86.
I rechecked to version 7.04a and seems to understand that for the most part it was an optical illusion of consciousness. In version 7.04a with this action there was also a cursor "System Busy". In version 7.50 it does not appear. Nevertheless. If the version 7.04a copied the file from the root of Ramdisk aquamark3.exe (65430089 bytes) to subfolder for 2 seconds, then version 7.50a - over 2.5 seconds. This is not precise calculations, but observations on the Windows clocks.

P.S.
Doesn't have a third party clipboard enhancement tools.

I have changed copy and paste: The Explorer context menu with all shell extensions is no longer loaded now! Instead, only a very basic menu is loaded, containing just cut, copy, and paste. Here is the fix in the history.txt:

18.11.09 Fixed: Use CDefFolderMenu_Create2 for Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X and Ctrl+V (copy/cut+paste), this way no context menu extensions need to be loaded
