Nice plugin. :-)

A prepared install archive. You need to put the proper wfx in it only.

:cry: As you can see on the image a SDCard has in the Drive-List another icon as in the Porperty window that opens when you press ALT+Enter :-(

Nice plugin.

I mounted and opened an old .vmdk file i had created with vmware server 1.x (IIRC, its hardware file structure version is v4). It shows it in the list as

Code: Select all

FAT16 Volume 1 (.Ε6».Δ>ΏΉ)
I don't know where it finds that label though, it doesn't ring a bell.

EDIT: Sir_SiLvA's report still stands for the vmdk. Pressing ALT+ENTER on the mounted volume, in the "Partition" tab an HDD icon is shown but in the "Physical disk" and "Container" tabs, the icon is that of an SD card.

EDIT2: More info on the vmdk:

Code: Select all

createType="monolithicSparse"

# Extent description
RW 4194304 SPARSE "Blank MS-Dos.vmdk"

# The Disk Data Base
#DDB

ddb.toolsVersion = "0"
ddb.adapterType = "ide"
ddb.geometry.sectors = "63"
ddb.geometry.heads = "16"
ddb.geometry.cylinders = "4161"
ddb.virtualHWVersion = "3"

Just wrong label or plugin can't open the disk?
FAT16 place label in boot record. Seems like it's damaged.

Please ignore SD card icon for containers. It's ok - we temporary use nice SD card icon :)

No, it's just the label. Strange. I thought it might be because the hardware version of the disk is a little old (virtualHWVersion = "3") and perhaps it's not correctly supported, that's why i mentioned it.

Anyway, never mind...

I need copy of boot sector to fix this problem.
1. Mout disk image to plugin
2. Click properties.
3. Click Create Image link
4. Choose boot sector.

Please send this file to abXdiskinternals.com (large X to @)

No need to mail it. Here it is. I have placed 2 copies of the boot sector file in it, one with the full name and one without the label, just in case the first one is unreadable. Just save it as a text file and double-click to decode it from within TC.

Was the label indeed non-English? I can't remember at all but i saw a "no name" in the boot sector and i imagined it was that. Anyway, glad i could help improve the plugin.

Sometimes label stored in root folder. We found same bug on our diskimage with non-english label.
