Hello, khiro.
how to install Tcalc step by step please!
Step by step instruction:
  1. You can find the latest version of TCalc here: Total Calculator v4.0 PL
  2. Download the installation package and save the downloaded RAR archive file util_tcalc_4_0pl.rar to a folder on your disk
  3. Create a programme folder for TCalc. E.g. inside the Total Commander programme folder, create the subfolder TCalc.
  4. Use Total Commander to unpack the downloaded RAR file to the folder which you have just created.
    Make sure that the option to extract pathnames has been ticked before starting to extract.
  5. Then proceed as explained in the file ReadMe.eng.
    It can be found inside the TCalc programme folder.
    [Install]
    -----------
    Create directory and copy all files there. (Note: You have already completed these 2 steps.)
    1. Go into Total Commander->Start.
    2. Choose as command 'tcalc.exe'
    3. Press 'Add'
    Write as name 'Total Calculator' and press OK.
    4. Press OK in 'Start' menu.
    5. Go into Total Commander->Configuration->Options->Common.
    6. Choose 'Ctrl +' and 'F6' (or another combination)
    As command select 'cm_UserMenu1'.
    Press OK
    Try to press Ctrl+F6 (may be your combination) in Total Commander, the program must RUN.
Good luck,
Karl

I think the instructions that come with it are a bit old?
I dont have Configuration->Options->Common.

and the bit about
1. Go into Total Commander->Start.
2. Choose as command 'tcalc.exe'
3. Press 'Add'

seems to be in the wrong order
What you dont see is what you get!

Hello, neverhelesshello.

You are right about the Configuration => Common section. It should read Configuration => Options => Misc. => Section "Redefine Hotkeys".
You are also right that the order in which the steps are given how to add TCalc.exe to the Total Commander Starter menu is incorrect.

I admit I have not checked whether the steps given in the ReadMe.Eng file were correct before quoting them, because I have never installed TCalc.
Yet, anybody who really installs TCalc is absolutely free to post a corrected step by step instruction. :wink:

Kind regards,
Karl

I still dont even understand what this calculator program has to do with total commander at all apart from sharing the word "total" in the name...
