• It should be useful too that you show the part of the F T P log file related to this issue.
- Whether that file isn't present, create it from Configuration Menu >> Options >> F T P, and retry.
- “Make up” the private info with “*”, for instance.
• Glad to hear that it's solved on that moment.
- I tend to think that some indelicate third-party programme and¦or shell extension
has disturbed the reconnect operation when you got a crash…
- Meanwhile, it should be useful to check which newly installed programme could have set such an indelicate shell extension…
These are both at the same address 00664EEF, but it doesn't make much sense to get an access violation there.
What setting do you use for the connection (without the server name, user name, and password)? Do you get this regularly when you wait a while until the server disconnects you?
ftp-Connection to homezone-fritzbox-usb-stick. Stick has some problems. connection very slow. I tried to rescue the data by using TC-ftp... Sometimes I click on cancel, because no answer few minutes. Sometimes the stack-trace, while browsing through dirs...:

Wenn ich mich recht erinnere hatte ich da eine Secure FTP Verbindung gestartet und verwendet. Diese war aber zum Zeitpunkt des Neustarts nicht mehr aktiv, da sogar noch ein 10h-Standby dazwischenlag.

I'm having a similar problem. When I start a FTP transfer, after a while (2 or 3 minutes), I get an access violation.
Happens with TC 7.56a and TC 8.01 32bit.
I'm running Windows 7 x64 and I suspect the Windows 32bit layer to have a problem here. Because, some other 32bit apps also crash after a while. Didn't have that problem with TC 8.01 x64.
Any ideas what this could be? Maybe SP1?

I checked it - could you test the following, please: There should not be a crash if you download the file(s) via background transfer manager (F5 - F2), AND set a speed limit (which may actually be very high).
I almost don't dare to say it but it was some malware on my system that caused this. Many 32bit programs crashed after a while. After having removed it, there are no problems whatsoever! Sorry :O
