Sorting folders by content, how?

Post by *zaikar »

Hi. I'm just wondering how I can do that. (I'm sure there's a way with our Total Commander).

That's an example of what I'm looking for:

I've goot 1000 folders and I just want so see the ones with a txt inside or the one with a file named XXX. But I want to see just that folders for then move them to another place...

No idea how to do it...

Please help guys!

Just use the common switches
Find: *.*
Content: XXX
Advances: check what you realy want

Feed to list
Here you will have just directories with the desired content

Yes, it's ok.

Select the directories from list and save this list (make a button with cm_SaveSelectionToFile). In this file you will have all paths, as you need.

With TC 8.0 you can search by loading this file list into search field.
My Best Wishes,

Eugen
