Select File from the Command line

Post by *bec612 »

Sorry for the beginner question, but I would like to be able to select the file or folder that is listed in the File Windows from the command line instead of using the up and down arrow keys.

For example navigating through a folder structure by:
1. Typing the first few letters of the folder name to select it in the active file window.
2. Pressing the enter key to enter the folder and display the folder contents.
3. Repeat for subfolders.

From reading the help file, this seams like it should be possible, but if you start typing the name of a folder, this gets redirected to the command line. If a folder is selected, the this will activate windows explorer to open the folder when you hit enter. If you select a non-executable file, then TC displays an error message.

Is they any way to change this behavior, or make the command line only active when a shortcut combination is activated?
