I noticed a strange "bug" from a year or two ago. When a user starts an office 2007 or newer file (docx, xlsx...) the total commander popups an error box "File not found", but the file opens normally.
I did a little research and this happens if you have office 2003 installed + update to support new 2007 formats.
The "Open" key from registry is C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~4\Office12\Moc.exe "%1". This is a converter that converts docx file to doc and then opens doc file.
I also notice this popup when starting some other random programs that have wrapper exe that runs for milliseconds, starts real exe file and exits.

The error comes from a remainder of a previous program which used DDE (dynamic data exchange). Therefore please put the cursor on the office file and choose Files - Associate - Edit type. Then remove the checkmark from DDE.
