So does 7.5x - just make sure InplaceRename in wincmd.ini is not set to 0.i like 8 because it rename with button click without keyboard.
If these are the last lines, then it means that your thumbnail database is damaged. Please delete it. You can find it incopy thumb: sourcepath_and_filename<destpath_and_filename
delete thumb: sourcepath_and_filename
These are in the foreground thread, I need the last line BEFORE these lines.Removing pending bitmap and icon notifications

This has nothing to do with icons, but with thumbnails. Please check the following in menu Configuration - Options - Thumbnails:empty dir...
1. set to defaultghisler(Author) wrote:Interesting, so the icon thread was terminated at the exact same moment when TC tried to update the thumbnail database! Is this just a coincidence (e.g. you just tried to close TC then)?
This has nothing to do with icons, but with thumbnails. Please check the following in menu Configuration - Options - Thumbnails:empty dir...
1. What database location is set there? The default is
%$LOCAL_APPDATA%\GHISLER
2. Check whether the option "Copy/Delete thumbnails with files" is checked.
3. Try to go to the location of your thumbs database: Close the configuration dialog, then write the command
cd pathname
on the command line and press ENTER. pathname would be the database location found in step 1, e.g. %$LOCAL_APPDATA%\GHISLER
