The reason why people ask for discounts is in some places of the world, a software license isn't part of the monthly budget, and believe it or not, the license price is large enough to make them think twice, or thrice

But after using TC for quite a while (sorry Mr. Ghisler), and reading over the boards, other long time members' discussions, other members' contributions (plugins, tools, etc), how Mr. Ghisler provides generous licensing terms (you can use it on any number of machines as long as you are the only one using it) and how the license is pretty much a lifetime license, I gave in.

Another thing worth mentioning is that compared to other file managers (talking about their respective lifetime licenses), TC is cheaper. One even costs twice as much for a single major version, and can only be used on a limited number of machines. And online activation? But to each his own, of course

Great active community here too, a little intimidating at times, as a lot of the members here have a very good grasp of computers, programming, scripting, etc. But all in all, the community is very helpful. Just try not to be impolite or one of them will punch you in real life. Lol
Just wanted to share my experience. Might help, for people who are currently on the same boat as i was. Try to save up a little each month, that's what i did. Tc is well worth it.

Karlo
