Post by *tomiu »

hi,

my pc got infected yesterday with a virus named 0.341......22.exe. When i right click on the file, description is:
Total Commander Administration Tool
Company:Ghisler Software GmBH
Version: 1.0.0.3

i also made a screenshot but i dont see any option how to post it....

The virus took total control of m pc, and i had to enter the Safe Mode in order to remove it.

Maybe its creator copied TCMADMIN's version information in order to mislead people.

That's quite probable, viruses/worms often try to disguise themselves to fool the user.

Btw, I have justed tcmadmin.exe 1.0.0.3 on Virustotal.com, and there is no virus found:

So apparently the virus is just misusing our name to confuse the user.
