Hi,
Sorry if this question has been posed previously, but I've made some search and I've not found help about my question. I've also read the help file of Total Commander.
I'm using TC v7.56. I want to use, for example, Excel with a list of frequently used files, but I I not want to open them all at same time, but select the file to open.
I know that I can to put a button for each file to be opened (this option "fill" the button bar; yes, I could to use a second bar for those files, perhaps using the plugin TCMENU, but is a bit bothersome);
Another approach is to define a button with the command EXCEL.EXE and filling the Parameters with the list of files frequently used (but this solution open all the files at same time).
I know also that I can to access to a file and drag-it to a button, but this approach need to access to the directory containing the file to be used.
There is a standard solution for open optional files associated as parameters on a button?.
[Edit] Another possible use is make a 'Change directory' to a list of folders used frequently
Thanks in advance for any suggestion.
Button with a optional list of parameters?

There is no standard TC solutions working with recent file lists, the only thing you can do is to build list manually. E.g. you may use nested buttonbar (BTW TC already supports drop-down BAR files so you don't need TCMenu) or directory hotlist to start files (e.g. filenames in a submenu), but it is not too friendly to modify. Another way is to use temporary panel (e.g. my Virtual Panel) - it adds a folder in Network neighborhood which may be used to store links (it just stores links to files, not files itself) to files just by copying files to it. So you can create subfolder and drag your XLS files to it.
Thanks a lot for your answer.
I was not understanding the concept "Show as a menu" for a bar file of the help menu; your answer abour the drop-down bar instead TCMenu has caused a revision of the help file and I found this option that solves my problem (TCmenu is slow on my computer; with the standard option I can see the options more quickly).
Now my button bar is better organized and more efficient.
Best regards
