File Comparison Question

Post by *adacom »

when modifications have been made to a file in file compare and the resulting file has to be saved the first thing is to save on the save icon

this then brings a box up saying the file has been changed and click to save

is it possible to remove this check and just save when the save icon is clicked - i realise its a check but becomes painful after a time if a lot of mods and saving is being done

Currently this is a "Save as" button - there wasn't enough space for more than 1 save button. Maybe I could handle a Shift+Click or Ctrl+Click as "Save", what do you think?

I would appreciate that - and maybe change Ctrl+S to save directly without the dialog as well. In most editors Ctrl+S saves without a dialog.

Is there also a standard hotkey for "Save as"?

Most of my Microsoft programs use Ctrl+S for "Save" and has no hotkey for "Save as".

I have a few programs that uses Ctrl+Shift+S for "Save As", but I also see other kombinations, and I also have other non-MS applications that uses Ctrl+S for "Save As".

i think a second button is better - key presses are fine and i use many in TC but some things are better with a mouse option
