I have not visited your website, but I downloaded the plugin directly from your site.

Virustotal report shows four hits. Are these false positives?

false positives

Post by *blagoev »

Exactly false positives. It may be since it requires admin rights to register the out of proces server.

TotalAndDroid contains no viruses, no spam, ads etc.

A lot of work and dedication has been spent on implementing it.
But decide for yourself. At least use a virtual machine to try it out...

I will update the site to explicitly state this.

Also now available on total cmd net

Still can't post links here.

x64 version

Post by *blagoev »

Definitely. When I started doing TotalAndDroid there was no x64 version of Total Commander. Days before I finished Total Commander 8 was released supporting x64.

There is such ticket in the uservoice totalanddroid forum. So vote there and add more ideas if you have any.

There is also a forum thread on xda developers here
(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1704203)

Seems like x64 TC version is used by many. Vote on the uservoice forum so others can see its requested.

Thanks,

You had added it to the list of plugins available in 64 bit editions. Your plugin does not seem to be available in a 64 bit edition, so I moved your plugin to the list of file system plugins.

file copy

Post by *blagoev »

Thanks, will investigate that. May be something related to TC 8 version of the plugin api.

Actually the plugins have no way to indicate to TC to refresh a file listing after a copy.

Thanks,

I try on my home win7x64 pc with TC8.0x32 and all work ok. But on my pc with winXP SP2 & TC8.0x32 don't work ok. I must say here that I read in the System requirements that WinXP SP3 is required. Is this the fault? I controll and have previously installed Samsung USB driver for Mobile. I download and install .net4 and then install the plugin.

When I connect my Samsung GS2 with android 2.3.5 on the pc (without doing nothing on phone) it recognize it like USB mass storage (2 disc D: and E: that is not working through win). When I go to totalandroid I see all the dirs and files but with the date and attributes blank (and also blank icons). If I copy from android to pc all is ok, but if I copy from pc to android the file is copied (I see it in TC for android) but on pc TC it is not listed. I disconnect totalandroid and reconnect it and the copied file is not listed. Then I disconnect totalandroid, disconnect the usb cable and reconnect all and the copied file is not listed. I also kill TotalByClr.Server.exe and after relaunch of TC (cause it freeze) the copied file is not listed...

If I delete a file with totalandroid from phone all is ok and refreshed ok.

That's something related either to Win XP SP22 and Total Commander 8 on the same machine and the specific phone. There is no logic that controls if TC refreshes or not. Also there is no caching of file listings involved. The file dates and attributes are not working in the first version. They will be fixed in the next one.

You can try sending me a debug of the communication involved. Use the (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/socket_sniffer.html) socket sniff. It will output all the communication that goes to the device. You will need to copy/paste this in a text file and send it to me.

In the next version I will add some logging to ease this process.
