Ukrainian Total Commander Translator. Feedback and discuss.
For that to work you might have to add somthing like this to the [Configuration] section of your wincmd.ini:Try enabling "search in archives".
SearchInFiles=*.docx *.xlsx

Use the x64 version of Ulister together with the Oracle Outside In viewers.
This allows to view almost anything.

Yes, but does "search in archives" work if you do not have SearchInFiles=*.docx *.xlsx - it shouldn'tMaxX wrote:

That's right: Enabling "search in archives" AND adding to wincmd.ini like:petermad wrote:Yes, but does "search in archives" work if you do not have SearchInFiles=*.docx *.xlsx - it shouldn't
Code: Select all
[Configuration]
SearchInFiles=*.docx *.xlsx
You should only use the SearchInFiles-Method if you know what you're doing.
Better use a plugin for searching in these files, preferably TextSearch which can convert docx and xslx, but also the old .doc format and it also has a 64-bit version.
For viewing, as already mentioned, use uLister, it works great!
All of these newer XML-based document formats use UTF-8 for encoding.
So if you really want to use the manual search, at least enable the UTF-8 checkbox in the search parameters, especially if you're searching for non-ASCII strings.

1. Do not put *.docx in the "Search for" field. Leave it empty, or put *.xml because the actual text is stored in xml files inside the docx.
2. Make sure the "Search archives" option is checked.

Problems viewing Office2010 using uLister:
I have followed the instructions in readme.txt to the letter, but no matter where I Place the Redist catalog (or its files), I still get "Outside ln dlls not found in plugin dir". The only thing that differs from the instructions, is that Oracle only offers a newer Version (ca-8-4-1-win-x86-64.zip).
Any hints?
