Separate settings from history

Post by *darko79 »

Currently totalcmd keeps all settings and history in the same file, wincmd.ini and I thought it would be better if these were separated (general settings that don't change that often in one file and history, searches, opened tabs and position in another file).

The reason for this suggestion is that I have totalcmd on multiple computers and like to keep general settings the same on all computers but they can have different histories, searches, opened tabs and position.
I placed totalcmd files on dropbox that synces all files across all computers but now they use separate settings because I want them to have their own histories and tabs. If I make a change to general settings I have to manually apply these settings to other wincmd.ini files so I can keep their histories and tabs.

Hello darko79,
You can keep each section in a different file by using AlternateUserIni and RedirectSection.
