JPG display and embedded color profiles (ICC)

Hi

I've been testing various web and image browsers for color profiles (ICC) support after reading this article:

and I have discovered that TC does not support them neither in lister nor for thumbnails view.

All test images are shown properly if I have "Explorer method" for JPG thumbnails set but it stops for other methods. This is strange because despite the fact that XnView gets it right when loaded with Enter on file - it is broken when called from within lister.

Are there a plans to get it fixed?

Sorry, I have no idea about ICC profiles. Lister uses GdipLoadImageFromStream to load JPG images. It seems that Microsoft has removed all documentation regarding this API from MSDN with the arrival of Windows 8.

Try putting
IviewAdditionalTypes=*.jpg

in your wincmd.ini to force loading of jpg files via Irfanview or XnView, and bypass the internal GDI+ functions.

Now it works with Lister but not for thumbnails view.

I've checked the following (only 1 active option at time):
- Get from lister plugins - fail
- Use Explorer method - works for thumbs
- Get from Irfan-/Xnview - fail

All three options has *.* set - clean install, no plugins at all.

Maybe this is my mistake but I've always thought that this option also handles lister without WLXes, so lister interface will generate thumbnails according to its options.
