May I suggest to add "m" and "g" (= 1000base) calculations additionally to the "M" and "G" calculations (= 1024base).

The switch from k (= 1000 bytes) to "M" (= 1024 kilobytes) is not only inconsistent, but also too limiting.

Maybe Mr. Ghisler could even allow both displays (e.g. when mouse hovering).

I think you should try plugin DirSizeCalc, it seems that it supports feature that you want (in a separate columns or in tooltips).

Thank you for your input, but I don't necessarily want to calculate dirsizes.

I simply want more options for the bytes/kilobyte/megabyte... display.
