Issues using cm_OpenDrives with Samsung Galaxy S3/Android

Post by *gquiring »

I am using cm_OpenDrives to access my SG3 which works. I can copy files to the device with no issues. But if I try and create a folder (F7) from TC I get the error "Cannot copy item, the device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected".

I also cannot move files from the SG3 to the Windows PC. It copies the files but does not delete them on the phone.

I am using Windows 7 x64 with a stock SG3 from AT&T.

There is no command to create new folders within virtual folders, so what TC does is create a temporary folder in TEMP, and then copy that to the device. Sorry, I have no idea why this would fail with the S3.

Try using the Android ADB plugin instead.

Where does it create this "TEMP" folder? I have temp folders on my local PC drives. Is it possibly conflicting with an existing folder?

Use the command
cd %TEMP%
in the command line of Total Commander to go to that directory. You can simulate what TC does: Press F7 to create a new empty directory in TEMP, then press F5 to copy it to your device. It would probably give the same error.
