Switching tabs when using directory hotlist

Post by *Rashi »

Hi there!

As the titles says, If I say were to navigate to C:\Program Files\ in the left window of Commander, and say C:\Test\ on the right window. And then I want to use Directory hotlist on the left side to navigate to C:\Temp\ it automatically changes the right side to the root of C:\

Why does this happen? It has never done this before, is there perhaps any setting I might have checked in options by accident? Basically what I want is for commander to no matter what I do in one window, the other window should stay in the same place as I left it. Even if I use directory hotlist in the other window I still want the other window to stay in the same place where I left it.

I hope anyone understands what I mean.
Thanks for help in advance. :D

Shouldn't Be

My TC 801 doesn't behave that way.
Check on a few 'immediate' settings, like 'single click' or 'press Enter to..', but I'm scratching for an idea.
Do some basics like drop down into folders and up again, and watch what the other panel does.

It seems it fixed itself by reinstalling Total Commander.
At least for now. I'll post here if the problem comes back or if I find out what option in commander is doing it.

Thanks for the help :)

1- Open "Change directory menu" dialog.
2- Select the item that behave wrong.
3- Be sure the field "Target path" is empty.

Ha! Never ventured there.
A dual change directory function. Sort of makes sense..
And it works right-to-left, in spite of use of the term 'Target', normally reserved for the RHS.
