Copying an incorrectly selected folder can't be stopped?

Post by *louwin »

I selected a folder with MANY files in it to copy from one drive to another.

I selected the wrong folder, one that had already been copied so it came up with the warning that the file already existed on the destination. I clicked on "Skip All" so off it went.

Realising my mistake I tried to stop the copy! Can't be stopped. :(

Well. I couldn't see/work out how to stop the copy and I tried....

Had to use the Task Manager eventually.

Small inconvenience but a bug anyway!? :)

You could either have clicked the Cancel button or pressed Enter or Escape to stop the skipping - it works for me.

Testet it with 30000 files using both TC 8.01 32bit and 64bit under Windows XP and 7 - both between different drives and between local drive and Network share.
