Dynamically change directory bar or window background color

Hi!

Is there any way to change the directory bar color or window background color based on what directory I'm looking at?

For example, if I'm in C:\MyCode\Development\Project1\SubFolder1, I'd like the directory bar or window background to be one color, while if I'm in C:\MyCode\QA\Project1\SubFolder1, I'd like it to be a different color. Similarly, if I'm connected to \\ExternalServer1\SomeFolder\SomeSubFolder, I'd like the directory bar be one color, whereas if I'm connected to \\ExternalServer2\SomeFolder\SomeSubFolder, I'd like it to be a different color. If there's more than one tab open, I'd like each tab to be colored according to the directory it's pointing to.

If there's no current way to do this, is it possible to create an add-on that does this? If not, would you please consider adding this to the next release?
