Unusual scroll on last file in panel on my desktop only?

Post by *louwin »

I searched for this behaviour but didn't find it as it is a bit obscure.

Choose a folder with many files in it (more than a panel's worth), click on the last file, it scrolls up one position.

Try the same with a double click, it scrolls up but does NOT action the file.

In other words, double click on say, a movie, which is the last file in the panel - it scrolls up but doesn't play the movie. Well not on my desktop anyway. Tried it on my laptop but IT works as expected - just plays the movie :)

Is it just MY desktop? Can I make it work as normal?

I can confirm that in Full view mode double-click on partially visible item doesn't execute it. I think it is because first click scrolls window so second one clicks another item... Strange that it works on one system and doesn't work on another.

Yes, both the desktop and the laptop are in full view mode.

The laptop in 1366 X 768 resolution and the desktop, using a 32" LED LCD TV is in Full HD 1920 X 1080.

Both display a FULLY visible item so I suppose it is a matter degree :?

So, is this a bug or a feature? ;)

I would imagine - a bug? :(

Hello!

Is this a bug?

Do I have to report this somewhere else in this forum?

Expalining why it happens doesn't fix it as far as I can see :(

No further responses in over 10 days!?

Windows itself scrolls the item into view when it's not fully visible when you click on it. The double click cannot work because the second click goes below the item you clicked on.
